Analytics and reporting

One dashboard for every channel, and a monthly report you can read without a glossary.

Why is marketing reporting so hard to read?

Because every platform reports on itself, and every platform claims the same sale.

Add up what Google, Meta and Amazon each say they earned you and the total will comfortably exceed your actual revenue. None of them is lying exactly. Each is counting every sale it touched, and most sales are touched more than once.

The job is to put one number in the middle that everybody agrees on, usually the one from your own store, and then show what each channel contributed to it. Once that exists, arguments about which channel is working get shorter.

Set up properly

Measured once, trusted afterwards.

  • Analytics and conversion tracking
  • Server-side where the browser blocks it
  • Consistent campaign tagging
  • Goals that match real revenue

Reported plainly

Written for the person paying.

  • One dashboard, every channel
  • A monthly report in sentences
  • What changed, and what we did
  • The numbers behind the claim

What we do

  1. 01Tracking set-upAnalytics, conversion tracking and tagging, checked, not assumed. Most accounts we audit are measuring something slightly wrong.
  2. 02DashboardEvery channel in one place so nobody has to log into six platforms to answer one question.
  3. 03Monthly reportWritten in plain language, with the number that matters first.
  4. 04AttributionA single view of what contributed to a sale, instead of five platforms each claiming it.
  5. 05AI visibilityHow often you are named by assistants, if that is in scope. See AI search.
  6. 06ReviewsA monthly call to go through it, because a report nobody discusses changes nothing.

Questions people ask

Why do my platform numbers not match my sales?

Each platform counts every sale it was involved in, so the same order gets claimed several times. Your store’s own number is the one to trust as the total, then attribution shows what contributed to it.

What dashboard do you use?

Whatever fits the stack you already pay for. We would rather use a tool you own than add another subscription for the sake of it.

Do you report on ad platforms you do not manage?

Yes. The report is more useful when it covers everything, even the channels another team runs.

How often do we get a report?

Monthly, with a call to go through it. Dashboards are live in between, so nobody has to wait for the report to find out what happened.
