What does Shopify development involve?
Shopify development is building the store itself: the theme, the product templates, the checkout flow and whatever has to talk to your other systems.
Shopify handles hosting, payments and security, so the work is not infrastructure. It is the parts that decide whether a visitor buys: how fast the page loads, how the product page answers objections, how many steps stand between the add-to-cart and the order.
It is also the parts nobody sees. A catalog of two hundred SKUs with three variants each needs a structure that your team can update without opening a ticket every time a price changes.

Questions people ask
How long does a Shopify build take?
A straightforward store takes a few weeks. A migration with a large catalog and integrations takes longer, and the catalog is almost always the long pole. We give a date after we have seen the product data.
Will I lose my search rankings if I migrate?
Not if the URLs are mapped properly. Every old address needs to redirect to its new equivalent before launch. This is the step that gets skipped, and it is the one that costs traffic.
Can my team edit the site afterwards?
That is the point. We build sections your team can add, remove and reorder in Shopify’s own editor, and we train you on it before handover.
Do you work with Shopify Plus?
Yes, though most brands do not need it. We will tell you if your volume and requirements actually justify the cost.
